Hand-Crafted Neapolitan Pizza at 600 Degrees

600 Degrees are taking over with their Neapolitan Pizzas - two Southport locations and travelling for events!
600 Degrees was one of the very first vendors to open at Southport Market in 2022 and have remained a staple, still as busy as ever. They have since opened their first independent location in Hillside and we recently paid them a visit!
The Hillside location is perfect! Just a short walk from the station and only a couple of stops from Southport; it is in an ideal place to stop off before you head into Liverpool or Southport. They have a bar serving Menabrea on draught, a carefully curated selection of wine, soft/hot drinks and more. There seems to be a growing buzz around Birkdale/Hillside and 600 Degrees is positioning itself right at the centre. This venue is a great spot to meet up with friends and family for a drink and some of the best pizza around.
We tried the Toscana and Pizza Diavola which were both absolutely incredible. The Toscana is made with a garlic butter & fior di latte cheese base, topped with parmesan, Tuscan fennel sausage, sage and fresh red chilli. Pizza Diablo or the Devil's Pizza comes with a kick - tomato base topped with parmesan, fior di latte, salami, nduja sausage, fresh chilli and basil. We're borderline obsessed with pizza at Southport Insider but these were amongst the best pizzas we have ever tried.
Dan and his team are clearly very passionate about getting their pizza right. They source the best ingredients, prepare their dough with patience and care; and deliver quality pizza with every order. The attention to detail is second to none at 600 Degrees. Even the selection of wines have been carefully chosen to compliment specific pizzas on the menu and Dan has some exciting ideas for possible events in the near future.
We managed to find space for a couple of desserts after the pizza. We tried the lemon cheesecake and tiramisu. All desserts are also freshly made on site. The cheesecake tasted light and fresh with a perfect snap in the biscuit base and topped with a lovely lemon drizzle. As coffee lovers, the tiramisu couldn't have been any better - the best way to finish an Italian meal!
If you haven't been yet, we cannot recommend 600 Degrees highly enough. Whether you're in Southport or Hillside, make sure to pay them a visit. The Hillside venue now has outdoor seating too, just in time for nicer weather this summer. You may also find them at a range of events in Merseyside throughout the year too so keep an eye out! Also if you'd prefer to try their pizza from the comfort of your own home, they do take-away too!
